TA-V 4 & 8: Faster platelet aggregation in your own lab
Stago has launched a compact platelet aggregation system for the faster exploration and evaluation of platelet function in a citrated platelet rich plasma.
Both the eight and four channel instruments, the TA-8V and TA-4V, bring specialist testing for potential platelet disorders closer to the patient.
This helps to speed the diagnostic pathway while saving laboratory time and costs.
The new instruments incorporate Light Transmission Aggregometry (LTA) to reduce optical interferences. This infra-red technology is considered the gold standard for testing platelet function, providing the clinician with diagnostically important information when evaluating the patient for potential platelet disorders [1].
The Stago Group’s Thrombinoscope, Tcoag and Stago teams united to share their skills and expertise to work on this joint project, the ST Genesia.
ST Genesia is an automated analyser, based on the same principles as the CAT system, which measures thrombin generation.
Designed to support clinical applications in the lab, the key difference between systems is that CAT’s main purpose is for research and development.
ST Genesia aims at standardising and automating the thrombin generation test in order to make it widely accessable and available for use in in-vitro diagnostics (IVD). ST Genesia is designed to add to the information usually provided by routine tests (TP, TCA, etc.) or specialised tests (Anti-Xa, ECA) and offer an improved assessment of thrombotic and haemorrhagic risks to improve patient care.
A range of reagents specifically developed for ST Genesia is available:
ST Genesia has been presented at ISTH, SSC, Club IIa, ST Genesia Expert Event, Symposium. The high attendance at Stago stands, numerous requests for demonstrations as well as the large number of attendees at Stago events are all indications of the keen interest of the scientific and medical community in this new system.
ST Genesia and STG-ThromboScreen are now CE marked and available to order. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with your Stago representative for more information.
The Max family is now complete with the introduction of the STA Satellite Max. The STA Satellite Max builds on the proven strengths of the Max Generation, offering new functionalities.
The STA Satellite Max builds on the proven strengths of the Max Generation, offering new functionalities. and a user-friendly interface making it the ideal solution for Hemostasis testing in low-volume labs.
The STA Satellite Max is a Hemostasis analyser designed specifically for “satellite” labs looking for a device that meets their needs while guaranteeing results as reliable as those obtained in large specialised laboratories.
The STA Satellite Max includes a comprehensive test menu, designed for the needs of today’s low-volume laboratory, offering all routine and STAT tests.
Connected to the STA Coag Expert*, the STA Satellite Max automatically runs result validation operations and can link “satellite” labs within a group to benefit from additional connected solutions, including My Expert QC.
All of these features are designed to integrate the Hemostasis expertise of Stago’s know-how and technological expertise into one of the smallest Hemostasis analysers on the market, making it is just as impressive as its larger counterparts!
The STA Satellite is intelligently designed to empower low-volume laboratories to perform best-in-class Hemostasis testing in a small space.

Diagnostica Stago, introduces the STA Workcell Max, a transformative specimen processing platform designed to meet the rigorous requirements of efficient hemostasis testing.
Diagnostica Stago, introduces the STA Workcell Max, a transformative specimen processing platform designed to meet the rigorous requirements of efficient hemostasis testing. With a loading capacity of 300 specimens at a time, STA Workcell Max automatically loads and balances centrifuge buckets, and prepares platelet poor plasma by centrifuging specimens using hemostasis-specific criteria. Intelligent rack preparation enables optimized routing to the designated STA R Max analyzer. Specimens are held inside of up to four Stago STA R Max systems until results are validated, thus ensuring rapid availability in the case of additional or reflex testing. Racks are automatically unloaded from the instrument and held in the output module. By automating front-end specimen processing, rack preparation and specimen routing, the STA Workcell Max enables allocation of skilled laboratory technologists for other more complex, value-added tasks.
The STA Coag Expert data management platform powering the STA Workcell Max automation line, transforms lab QC and patient results into robust, traceable, actionable clinical insights. STA Coag Expert delivers full traceability, from operator activity to reagent and consumable lot identification for each data point. Also included, are connectivity capabilities to auto-upload QC results into a real-time peer comparison program, MyExpertQC. An upcoming suite of digital services, including remote monitoring and proactive instrument alerts, will further enhance the value of STA Coag Expert by reducing TAT and increasing system efficiency.
Designed and developed to be the perfect balance between innovation and coagulation expertise, Stago creates a new range of coagulation instruments: sthemO.
Two new analyzers emerged: sthemO 301 and sthemO 201.
To improve the health of as many people as possible, we are happy to share the renew of our coagulationStago_sthemO_301&201 product offer:
• sthemO 301 is dedicated to medium to large laboratories. This fully-automated coagulation analyzer can easily step in automated tracks.
• sthemO 201 is a bench-top analyzer for smaller laboratories and guarantees efficiency and analytical performances – just like higher range instruments.
To optimize these two new systems, Stago also shaped new eSolutions in a multi-products offer called sthemE. It’s user-friendly, simple and most of all, brings Stago expertise at hands.
